tf I recently broke up with my bf of 9 years (we were 15 when we got together) and we both know who we are, he didn't steal anything and didn't to him, we were meant to be together in our teens and be each other's shoulder. We helped each other become the people we are today over these nine years. We grew together and loved each other so much. If I am who I am, it's thanks to his love and affection in supporting me in believing in myself and becoming the woman I am now. Our paths have diverged because precisely because we know who we are, we know that we want two different futures and we cannot force ourselves to give up to our desire. And it's hard, but I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't have asked for a better person in my formative years. So no, if it's a healthy relationship, it doesn't steal anything, it adds... and even a healthy relationship can end when it's time to. ❤️

as someone who was in this situation and split up last year, i do often feel like my teen years were taken away because of the way it ended. i felt like i gave my all to something that ended so coldly and abruptly, without my say and without me knowing he had planned it for so long. i don’t think the video meant to be hurtful in its wording, depending on fault it can indeed feel like time was lost on the wrong person. (i no longer feel like this, time heals everything)
