why them in the same sentence🤣mcdavid, draisaitl,Bouchard only players they could use to make a trade effort for Larkin (with both including picks&players).come on!nurse has negative trade value.as has Jarry and Frederic.Larkin isn't going to be Oiler.Or Tippett.

Nurse is a great goal scorer, he finds the back of his own net quite often

Larkin for Peterson both need team changes and would be a good captain to bring in for Vancouvers young guys

I’m not a Detroit Fan but from what I’ve seen on Social Media it’s seems that Detroit fans think Larkin showed no effort for them this year so I’m guessing he was part of the problem because he didn’t wanna be there

Every time oilers trade off a player or goalie they always become a better player with their new team

I don’t understand, if you get rid of nurse, who are you filling that gap with for less than 9m, especially if you have to take on a bad contract for the trade?

You are misquoting Spector, he speculated that Bowman will be talking to Nurse. Nurse still has his no movement clause so the decision is his. As to no one wanting him You can bet other teams would be knocking Bowman’s door down if the Oilers kept some of that salary. Nurse isn’t a bad defenseman, the Oilers gave him a bad contract due to prior incompetence.

I never knew he thought of himself as more of an offensive defenseman but I’ve been saying for years the oilers should try him on forward. He’s big, mean, and fast. Especially if he thinks of himself as offensive why tf not move him forward and train him as a forward all summer playing on a line with his closest friends 🤷🏻♂️think it’s worth a shot to try and make him go earn that cap hit in another way… he’s a liability on our back end so let’s put that monster in front of the other teams net instead…

Flipping Nurse to San Jose could be a possibility, maybe Goodrow and a 4th. Might need to retain some though

Nobody is taking nurse with that contract at best Edmonton is on the hook for 3 million a year. It was a stupid over paid contract from the beginning

Literally nobody will trade anything of value for Darnell Nurse. The Oilers will have to pay thru the nose or retain half his salary to move him.

A few things . Nurse isn’t going to a team in a rebuild or a team that hasn’t consistently made an honest push through the playoff . ( so if he’s so bad what would a contender want him . Also you might be mad at his contract so you are going to sell nurse with ( prospects picks ) things the oilers have both of or need to to be able to address bigger problems. Or you’re going to take on another bad contract . So you trade nurse for less of a player for 6 mill but then you have to go find a 4 million dollar player to equal the “ participation” that nurse has with the oilers . Im not a fan of nurses contract . But even at 8 million . Find me a d man better 5v5 that plays just as many minutes a game . That gets paid less thats not in his 6,7,8 year of his contract also he has a full no move he holds all the power to get traded this year . If you hold him one more year it turns to a M-NTC ( 10 team no trade list ) which means there’s over 20 teams you can now do business with . I’m just saying you suffered with his contract this long . Wait one more year and you might get some value next year and you never know . That thought of haveing to get traded with less control next year might make him work on the holes of his game .

Blame Nurse all you want but management offered him the contract after poorly managing his contract over a three year period leading to the offer he signed. It’s laughable to blame the player while management fumbles the bag year over year. The missing piece in Edmonton has been an experienced goalie and they’ve traded for, signed, acquired everything but a net minder. Might be time to look at the guys watching from the suite.

Detroit will not get Larkins value because of ntc. If he is only willing to go to Wild then Detroit might have to make the trade they really dont want to. I dont think they want to keep a player who doesnt want to be there.
