@andreamarchant37: We need a new way of living in America. This system isn’t working for most people. #americandream #costofliving #fixit #broken #financialfreedom
I retired at 65 and spent the first year in cancer treatment but I am doing great now. But I have to admit I wish I would have retired earlier because my body is wearing out. But I do absolutely love retirement.

Just take a break you will miss working I have been disabled since 2016 and not working.. luckily for me I have children that have taken care of me because on my disability I couldn’t afford even a apartment. I would be homeless. Your right even after retirement many don’t have enough money on ssi to enjoy and relax so many are working as long as they can just to survive

My goodness I relate to all of this. I’ve been working since 9 too. I’m almost 41 and just moved into my first (rental) house. Purchasing something doesn’t seem like it’s ever going to happen. I’m exhausted.

We should be helping people find their gifts and helping them align their skills with the right path.

my retirement age is 67. I'm 61. if you're younger than me, your full retirement age as far as SS benefits is probably 70.

I’m a retired Professional Counselor. I worked my whole life too. I am living in the house inherited from my parents, otherwise, financially, I’d never make it. My health is good, it’s the cost of living that’s the problem.

I grew up on a 400 acre farm so Ive been working since I can remember. I'm about to be 50 & a 2x cancer survivor. I'm so over working but we would die with so much debt if I didn't. FML

And by then, any money or assets you've possibly been able to accumulate will be sped thru with rising costs of everything OR having too much to qualify for anything and paying out of pocket. Body's gone, money's gone, mind is long gone...what a dream indeed.

I get this. As a early 60 person thinking about retirement and how much I put into my work life. Always underpaid. And then to think about billionaires and so-called job creators, and how they are living. And even sketchy politicians thinking about taking my retirement. It’s a trick.
