It’s honestly so good. And I love that they aren’t feeling too constrained by the “missions” they need to accomplish bc the weird surrealist improvs are the best part. I would love to see more sandbox seasons for sure.

one completely unserious gripe i have with the season thusfar is that there has been zero mention of the shakespeare festival that happens in Ashland every summer bc i feel like madeline would clean up there. also i feel like the ashland lithia fountains could also have some kind of cryptic significance

It's so wild that the blood sucking monsters are having to actually invest into community and society while the people are apathetic and/or actively against the town. Then you have how trope-y each character is but then they slightly keep adding depth. Ugh chef's kiss

I've been enjoying it quite a bit (as I've said elsewhere: I was expecting Schitt's Creek with vampires and instead got a dissection of the sickness at the heart of American democracy.... with vampires), but this read will probably help me enjoy it more

I didn't know how much I'd like it. I shouldn't have doubted an Intrepid heroes season though. They're really good at balancing each other. And I don't think there's a single season with Lou Wilson I've disliked.

This season is great and I’m am simultaneously infuriated and delighted by the character choices. I’ll want them to do the optimal thing so bad and then they remind me that these are vampires whose morality/ grip on reality is different. Never would’ve expected “antagonistic” Zac at the table

It does trip me up that they’re playing as heroes since that is never once how I’ve played that game. I’m not saying they’re playing it wrong or anything it’s just something that I forget about a lot
