: I retired five years ago at 55 and have not been bored a minute. Fishing boating, Pickleball, exercising 3 days a week, scuba diving, hobby cars, helping others church friends…. If I die earlier, I’m good with that. I’m LIVING!!!!

Now what's the problem. Dying earlier dying late you still die inevitable. You die when it's your time to go.

🙏💕🥰💕🙏loveing you :
Quit my job at age 54, sold the big beautiful house and everything in it in the car and move to Thailand. Been loving life ever since then now 66 years of age still just living off the pension and all my investments are doing quite well. Can you go out and buy a new car or motorcycle whenever I want or could go out and buy a house and still have a lot of money left over. The cool thing is that I have never been bored.

You need hobbies and a strong friend network. Also go to the gym and stay fit.

I’m Dave financially. But at 72 I’m doing fine physically and intellectually. It’s because I’m doing all the housework, gardening, golf and traveling. TV is reserved for after dinner and if there’s a project to work on the TV stays off. Bottom line, there isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done. As long as that hold’s true I’ll be okay.

Guys… just look at what’s been happening lately. Stuff people laughed at a few years ago is now right in front of us. I read the book The Obscured Game by Lorian Slate and it honestly helped me see what’s actually going on behind the scenes.

Dave’s purpose for existence was work. Has nothing to do with finances and everything to do with choice.

I don’t think this is exactly accurate. I retired eight years ago this month at 53 years old. I do work a tiny bit like 16 hours a week, but I fill my days easily with walks exercise working on my boat visiting my brothers and sisters going out to lunch, etc.

I always tell people who are retiring to keep moving. The body should continue to move. I am not saying work, but I am saying to stay healthy and indulge in physical activity for mental stimulus and physical stimulus.
