the best ttrpg is the one your older sibling invents for you when you are kids and you've both heard of roleplaying but all you know is that there are dice and stats and so you make up a whole world together and play pretend with pencil and paper.

The actual best ttrpg is this niche indie ttrpg made by 1 person for an audience of 12 because it’s my dms personal pet project so it’s built exactly for the dm and players taste as again audience of 12 players+1 dm. It has no public document and literally no one knows about it except this single group. 10/10 would recommend

I really like Forsooth/forsleuth, which is a roleplaying game based on Shakespeare plays that only ends once everyone is either dead or married. Forsleuth is noir based so the criteria is dead or married and the mystery is solved.

The best is actually the hodge podge homemade trpg I through together across 4 google docs and I know it’s the best because it has never run a bad game. I’ve only ever run ome game with it but it went great so 100% of the time it’s a great time
