I'll also add to the end here, yes you can totally have fear and feelings around something for illogical reasons. However, you need to have the strength and conviction to not act on that. I'll be honest, I have irrational fears about polyamory, having been cheated on and anecdotally always seeing it fail. However, that doesn't prove there's anything systemic, just that people aren't perfect and relationships often don't work out regardless. Ergo, hating on it is not fair.

Thank you for this. Incredibly important points explained calmly, and based on listening and engagement. We need more of this, and less yelling at each other.
