Because she does not see him as a s*xual partner she loved him like a brother, as the friends told him she said multiple times. That was her coming through talking about her pain.

This is the point of the movie! It is supposed to make you feel uneasy and disgusted. The point of it was Nikki didn’t see bear in a romantic way before the wish, she saw him as a brother, but the wish made her into somebody she isn’t at all, it was something she wrote to taunt him about the truth, that’s why we also see many moments of Nikki snapping back into her true self and she is full of shame, regret, and confusion because she couldn’t ever think of herself doing this and she didn’t want it.
