Yes! I’ve been saving all my empties as well. Did you see the TT where the girl does this but preloads her inks for later use and putting a dot of hot glue on the top of the cart? The hot glue bead pops right off easily when you’re ready to use. She’s even flown with them and they stayed intact.

Also a lot of the pens come with an empty cart so I usually use that from the start if you don’t like their standard blue :)

I think you can fill up the barrel with ink, without a converter, and use plumbers tape on the connector and connect. Double check that though.

This is a much better way rather than using the converter. The converters are so small. I only use “re-used” cartridges.
