AI gives mediocre people the experience of being excellent, but they lack the capacity to evaluate the output.

I have a Claude project that exists solely to track contradictions in the obvious AI slop that people send me. The project instructions are basically just “review the items attached and look for logical errors and contradictions when viewing the project docs as a whole. Identify one issue and draft a one-sentence email.” And it drafts up a polite email saying “hey thanks for sending but did you mean to say both X and Y and how does that change the timeline for Z?” It doesn’t actually fix anything, but it saves me time and makes them actually read what they sent. Probably for the first time

It’s the bulk of content for me. Being sent a 10 page Claude document for something that could be half a page of focussed writing. We’re getting to a point where AI is generating content, it’s being sent to people and they don’t have the time to review it properly so they dump it back into AI. Basically Claude is just talking to Claude 🙇🏻♀️

Good observation. Many are experiencing their idea of "competence" for the first time, but they have no ability to determine actual quality.

I'm now at the point where I'm talking to their Claude through them. like I'm saying "paste this verbatim". I would think they'd be insulted by this but no they seem to like it

Borrowed fluency. If the language wasn't in use before its not theirs to claim now. The tell is usually in the follow up question.

They can't take criticism on it as well because they think if Claude made its is infallible. People who actually write something are way more open to feedback
