Hey girly you’re not wrong. In esthetician school they teach you what you were doing aka lower placement. However as a makeup artist I do believe that charlottes way provides a better lift. It’s just a newer trend in makeup. There is no right or wrong makeup it just depends on the goals you’re going for! Keep your head up queen ❤️❤️❤️

there’s no right way just whatever works for you but you are right contour goes under your cheekbones to enhance that shadow but what you’re using isn’t a contour shade that’s bronzer shade which is warm toned. so you are placing the bronzer in the correct way it’s just supposed to bring warmth to your face. bronzer is placed higher than contour aka the way you’re placing it in this vid. contour is cool toned to carve out your face and enhance shadows and bronzer is warm to give your face some warmth

It looks better how you normally do it. You weren’t doing it wrong. You are supposed to do contour at your natural contour lines, like below your cheekbones to show where your cheekbones actually are. It accentuates the natural shadow your face has from your actual cheekbones. That’s the whole point. Everyone else is just so used to trying to change themselves and look like everyone else and be a copy of someone that they don’t follow their actual bone structure anymore.

It actually depends on your cheekbones lol not everyone has the same shaped face. So blush placement and contour that looks good on one person may not on someone else with different facial structure.Please don’t listen to those comments because they genuinely don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re just talking about the trend of how most people do it, and that’s all it is is a trend. Makeup placement is different for everyone
