the spurs scouted Castle in high school and it's said they used "tactics" to get other teams off his scent. he was always their guy. he is also our primary pg. I don't know why people have a hard time seeing that and if you actually watched all of the games you would see he's an incredible passer and facilitator and is just going to get better. leads post season in asssits with almost 7 assists/game and is our second best scorer averaging 19 points/game. all of that while guarding the other teams best player. his output is crazy and in my opinion is underrated.

Even the Harper pick a lot of people thought the spurs should go another position bc they already had 2 star guards. They stuck with picking best guy available tho
