I’ll upload poetry every day— until the day this page disappears. ✨📜 Kalim Ajiz Kalim Ajiz (1920–2015), whose full name was Kalim Ahmed Ajiz, was a distinguished Indian Urdu poet, scholar, academic, and literary critic. Born in the village of Telhara in the Nalanda district of Bihar, India, he became one of the most respected voices in modern Urdu poetry. He was especially renowned for his ghazals, which reflected classical elegance while addressing contemporary human emotions and social concerns. He is often regarded as a poetic successor to the tradition of Mir Taqi Mir because of the simplicity, sincerity, and emotional depth of his verse.  Ajiz received his higher education at Patna University, earning master's and doctoral degrees in Urdu literature. His doctoral research on the evolution of Urdu literature in Bihar was later published as a significant scholarly work. He spent much of his professional life teaching Urdu at Patna University and eventually retired as a professor. After retirement, he served as Chairman of the Urdu Advisory Committee of the Government of Bihar, continuing his lifelong service to the Urdu language and literature.  Kalim Ajiz began writing poetry in his youth and gained recognition through mushairas across India and abroad. His notable works include Jab Fasl-e-Baharan Aayi Thi, Wo Jo Shayari Ka Sabab Hua, and Jahan Khushboo Hi Khushboo Thi. His poetry is admired for its lyrical beauty, emotional honesty, and deep humanism.  In recognition of his literary contributions, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 1989.
