How is it cruel? Zoos educate people, raise awareness about endangered species, and show why these animals are important. They literally help people understand that these species are part of what keeps ecosystems healthy and allows flora and fauna to flourish.

best place na napuntahan namin ng toddler ko. ocean park says during the seal show that they are saving endangered, stranded or even injured wildlife here. as long as napapangalagaan po sila mabuti, ok po yun.

may napanood ako dati hindi ko lang matandaan anong title , basta pinakita dun na hindi naman lahat ng tao masama na ginagawa lang pang entertainment mga isda kundi inaalagaan nila, nung tumakas yung ibang isda sa aquarium yung iba nagpaiwan mas pinili dun kasi nakaka kain sila ng ayos at inaalagaan.

Nag punta ako sa Laguna may hotspring at zoo ung Lion dun parang hingal tapos sya lamg wlang ksama asa cage sya. i’ve never been to a zoo and i don’t think i’ll ever visit one. it’s just cruel to me how these animals don’t have freedom. hindi ko kayang isipin na they’re just locked up there, the same space every single day😭. ang dami nga nating kuda nung pandemic nung di tayo makalabas for two years pero these animals have been there for decades, ang sakit isipin

I’m still amazed at how they actually look up close. But realizing they’re far away from their own makes me feel so sick that I want to throw up. It’s how we use them to entertain ourselves for a moment, for a photo/video, for a post, and then leave and forget them after.

I agree po, pero on other thoughs ko naman po kapag kasi hindi natin tatangkilin yan, kawawa naman yung mga sea creature sila yung magigipit once na wala ng income= walang maintenance, wala rin foods for them. Nakakasad talaga kung pwede lang may masmagandang alternative n solusyon para sa ganyan. :(
