they are not the same cable. one only has charge capabilities and no data connection. the other has a data transfer capabilities. not a lot of people know cables are like that.

just so you know, to answer your question with the cables, not every cable is made the same. that being said, the first one was meant for data transfer and charging, the other one was probably meant for charging only. I have that issue with a handful of my us micro USB, mini USB and USBCs also

I got the USB-C & USB cable 🤣🤣 we both still work even on the instructions say USB-C to USB-C should not be used. Don’t really know why but whatever it still works whether you got that cable or the USB-C to just plain USB cable.
