Jeffrey :
My A1c was 8.9 on October 2nd and weighing in at 358 lbs. I completely changed my diet, cutting out all sugars, carbs and starches. Started exercising and today (June 5th), I am 244 lbs with an A1c of 4.6. 20 more lbs to go. 👍

My husbands poor diabetic management cause poor sleep, hypertension & then a stroke on 12/24/25. Since we got home from the hospital 12/28/25 we changed our diet completely and started working out. Now, due to his BP and everything he had to go on meds. I am not. Since we 12/28/25, I am down 40 lbs naturally and he is down 60 lbs. we are no where near we need to be. But we are in the right direction.

With electronic charts there is no reason why they can’t input the education into the computer and the nurse or MA should be able to print it and read it to the patient at discharge and answer the questions the patient has.
