From what I saw, the Natasha Dolls thing got to the point where literal children were involved, so calling it a joke just doesn’t work anymore, not that it ever really did. And the infantilization makes it worse, because people keep acting like they can’t understand what they’re doing. With the Rick Chow case, regardless of the verdict, that whole situation felt avoidable. There was no reason for it to escalate the way it did
