honestly jotaro is a great character and the hate is kinda stupid. it’s not that part 6 gave him character he ALWAYS had character. let’s start off in part 3 with his characterization, on the surface he seems edgy, cool and nonchalant while deep inside hes a caring person who has nerdy and dorky traits which is honestly relatable to me and other teenagers. he also does infact grow in part 3, goes from pushing everyone away to slowly accepting them and create new friendships he’ll forever cherish for the rest of his upcoming adulthood. he suppresses his emotions on purpose, when he gets teary eyes he usually gets his hat to cover his eyes so nobody can see. part 6 jotaro expands on this even more on protecting his family, imo hes kinda equal to ichigo in terms of writing if not a bit better
