I’ve never read a story like this - it felt unique and distinct but exactly as it should be. Like it was something real and tangible that I was just being told. Every single detail built to emotional peaks that were so touching as a woman, sister, aunt, & hopefully soon, a mother. After the epic conclusion of When the Moon Hatched, the story picks up exactly where we left off and continues to expand the world, character depth, and complex history. Kaan continues to jump off the page with his passion and YEARNING (!!!!!) at new levels. Raeve is so vivid to me, and I truly love her character. Their love, passion, history, and soul connection has launched them into my favorite book couples ever. It’s action packed while still having such detailed lore, incredible character work, and shocking twists. The writing in Ballad of Falling Dragons was more concise while still having the beautiful prose and vivid descriptors like in book 1. The ending was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The last 30% had me hanging on every word & literally sobbing at the end. I have 100% confidence that book 3 will be the perfect finale to this epic masterpiece!
