in the context of “being yourself” to befriend others (which is what you’re getting at I think), neurotypicals usually mean being open about your interests and hobbies. Being completely transparent is another thing ( I think you’re talking about in this context). Masking will always be a variable in your case yes (and it will be necessary), but finding communities with shared interests and making friends there is possible with “being yourself”. If that makes sense

"You are doing too much" — makes me so irrationally upset to the point where it'll take hours for me to go back to neutral, because I care about something that I don't want generations to lose, the idea of any media getting lost to time scares me and if I have knowledge I want others to be aware of it. The fact that lost media is glorified nobody appreciates it when I correct them or they well be like ''you're overthinking'' tells me that the next generation is blind to the fact that we are going backwards and companies are hiding it/destroying history.
