Went Tibet was illegally annexed, Many of our teachers came to the west and found a particular connection with the indigenous Native American tribes. There are several Buddhist centers founded by Tibetan lamas and scholars, such as this one and others like Karma Choling in VT and Drala mountain center in CO and all of them have deep ties to the indigenous peoples of those areas. Tibetan Vajreyana Buddhism and Tibetan culture are deeply tied to the land and respect for it, a lot of Tibetan teachers found very similar concepts and practices in the indigenous cultures, as well as a shared experience of colonial persecution and cultural repression. ✌🏼☸️

There is another temple in Montana outside of Hot Springs that is bigger than this. Namchuck Retreat Ranch.

I’ve been there, it’s very large and moving. And the workers were very considerate of the visitors and friendly.

That's so cool! I grew up not far from The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya WLUS, and it has always been one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. I would definitely visit here if I’m ever in the area.

Nothing to emphasize the one-ness of humanity and the Earth like a sacred site fitting in from a culture thousands of miles away.
