I’m in school to be a hormone health practitioner. Pms is common but it’s minor symptoms like feeling eh, crampy, minor cravings , easily started , usually week or less before your period etc. There is also PMDD which is a severe form of pms it effects daily habits and functioning the two weeks leading up to your period not just a few days before like PMS. Overstimulation, anxiety, poor sleep, intense cravings , withdraw etc. We also have PME , which if you already have an existing mood disorder or chronic illness this is exacerbated the two weeks leading up to your period. Your already underlining symptoms get worse around the luteal phase! Each one is to never be taken lightly and should be evaluated by your doctor / practioner to find a routine and plan that works best for you!
