One cup of cooked lentils = 16g fibre + 18g protein?! 😲 If that’s not a good enough reason to try them, let me show you how to make the coziest, most comforting lentil stew (aka dal) that’s been a cultural staple and dietitian-approved ✨ This dal is: ✅ Budget-friendly ✅ Protein-packed ✅ Meal-prep perfect ✅ A hug in a bowl Here’s my go-to Dal recipe: Ingredients: ~ 1 cup dry lentils (I used red split lentils) 1 tbsp minced garlic 2 tsp minced ginger 2 dried chilli 2 tsp coriander powder 2 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp turmeric powder Salt & pepper 1. Wash & rinse lentils 2. To a pot, heat oil and sizzle dried chilli. 3. Add minced garlic and ginger and stir fry till fragrant. 4. Add in coriander, cumin and turmeric powder. 5. Add in washed lentils and enough water to cover. 6. Bring to a boil, then close lid and simmer ~15 mins, checking in between, add more water as needed & season with salt & pepper. 7. Once it reaches desired consistency, garnish with spring onion/coriander. 8. Add on to any meal for a nutrient boost!
