Honestly he should sue the department for a crazy bag. Provably illegal redactions, illegal stop, illegal search and illegal arrests. Officers who committed the crimes will make off with nothing but paid leave but he could get crazy money

Hey fun fact, everybody. You don’t have to root force into a secured system in order to “hack” - most hacking is done through social engineering, using tactics like going through the trash or looking for Post-it notes with unsecured passwords. Accessing a dropbox because of a failure to protect what should be secure information is still a hack. It is not a sophisticated hack, but it is a hack.

The American Fork Police Department has shown nothing but extremely dubious and malicious intent towards the “out of town investigator”. The Court Summons was legit- often Small Claims Court Judges do not sign Small Claims Court Summons. Generally any “non-case involved” adult can serve a Small Claims Court Summons. The cop could have dropped the Summons at the feet of the Defendant. The cop should have known this.
