It always be the people who like to point out these statistics that are the main contributors to why they exist in the first place. They uphold the systematic oppression of people of color because it helps demonize them and give “rational” to why they should be second class citizens. The whole idea of race is a social construct so their whole ideal society collapses under any form of actual scientific reality.

its bewildering to me how people complain about "black crime" and give the black comminity 0 grace, when they know about the fact that white americans & the U.S government enslaved black americans for centuries, enacted full blown racial inequality under segregation, red-lined black neighbourhoods and built highways over them, facilitated the spread of drugs within black communities and continued the systematic discrimination of black americans thinking there would be 0 consequences.

also the crime rate statistic is skewed by hate and racism. people always say that "black people are arrested the most out of any race!" without taking in consideration all the other variables such as racist cops or false accusations from people simply for their skin color.

Emile Durkheim came up with Anomie. A good example is inner city kids turning to crime because they lacked access to college education or career training, they lose their sense of direction.

that certainly is a factor, but it’s not the only one. even when you control for this, & compare white & black people of the same SES (socioeconomic status), there is still a clear, massive disparity in crime rate. it doesn’t seem to be purely environmental
