Now she’s gone, and the field feels empty. The roses all blend together like they always did, but nothing catches the eye the same way. I walk through it hoping for another lily, but the soil stays quiet. Maybe that’s the lesson some blooms only come once in a lifetime. They teach you to appreciate the rarity while it’s there, to water it gently, to protect its light instead of taking it for granted. Because when that flower is gone, the whole garden changes. And you’re left remembering the one that made everything else look ordinary. I carry that beauty with me now, even if I can’t hold it anymore. It reminds me to look harder, to value what’s different, and to never pluck too soon again.
