As a millennial I think you crushed this concept. The costuming completely felt like a representation of Gen Z but I also felt like it didn’t ostracize anyone either - the looks and how they spoke for each character were still relatable and timeless even from someone like me as a generation not specifically represented in the film. If that makes sense. lol

when i watched obsession my first thought was that this is the first movie ive seen that accurately portrays gen z. im the same age as the characters and i felt like they were people i knew. i feel like movies never get the way we dress or the way we talk right, and u did such a good job making them seem like real 20 somethings

You’re doing what the 90’s did, costume designers designed the outfits of characters in friends, Buffy the vampire slayer and charmed to that era. Same with 00’s for 90210 remake, the vampire diaries, and pretty little liars. Just mentioning those alone, both are two different eras but you can tell their styles matched their eras. I agree that most modern based shows like to go with ??? questionable style that does not relate to what the trend is currently. Nikki’s whole outfit and Sara’s boots in the beginning was something I instantly was drawn to and loved. You’re amazing at your details and I’m obsessed!!
