neutralised azelaic acid (like a lot of the k-beauty ones) mostly sits as a salt in the bottle. that’s not a flaw, and it doesn’t mean it’s fake. a salt is just azelaic acid with its protons off, sodium balancing the charge. your skin’s acidity flips them back on, so it still delivers. what matters most isn’t the charge, it’s how much of it dissolves. it works. it’s just NOT the same as prescription strength.
