Same thing similar happened to me at a bachelorette weekend. I’m not splitting checks for food if that was never discussed. Here’s my $25 for my meal and my small portion for the bride. But I’m not paying for my meal and then paying for your 3 glasses of wine and $50 steak

Bro if I was having a bach or some other big trip like that and one of my friends was on a budget, I would either work around their budget or just work it into my budget to help them pay for things. It's not hard to be considerate.

I capped my bachelorette at like $200 per person, and felt awful that half of my party ended up not coming. It was my weekend, and it was a local Airbnb, but I still felt bad that others spent money on something they weren’t attending. To be rude to someone for not wanting to spend $1000+ is insane to me

For events everyone covers the bride to be. Air b&b activities and meals. Thats how that works. The bride isn’t expected to pay because they forked out for the wedding. But customarily this is why the brides mates don’t bring a gift to the wedding the party is the gift. This is vise versa for the grooms party. I understand that inflation changes rules but thats how it supposed to work.
