Here’s a fun fact: Bananas are berries, but strawberries aren’t!
Botanically speaking, a berry is a fruit that develops from a single flower with one ovary and has seeds inside. By this definition, bananas, kiwis, and even eggplants are considered berries.
On the other hand, strawberries don’t fit the berry definition because they develop from a flower with multiple ovaries. Instead, they’re classified as aggregate fruits. Nature is weird, right?
