@greenpeaceuk: Well said 👏👏 It’s time to listen to the science and leave fossil fuels where they belong: in the ground. We need the government to STOP the Big Oil giants based in the UK from drilling for more climate wrecking fossil fuels. Please take 20 seconds to sign our urgent petition demanding Keir Starmer reins in Shell and BP before it’s too late 👉 link in bio to add your name #MakePollutersPay #Shell #BP #BigOil #GeorgeMonbiot
We need to increase taxes on environmentally harmful products and services and that will change people’s behaviour.

Someone need to tell the billionaires and the big companies that climate change affects them as well. No profits when no one can buy anything and you can’t super yacht your way out of being affected. It will affect everyone no matter how rich

It is frustrating to see someone speak of reality and think that you can legislate your way out of capitalism. The fact of the matter is that this is a system built on fear because it pushes you to give your power away. Capitalism is the ever growing accumulation and concentration of power - it is a wild fire, to legislate it is to suffocate it, we need a way to dismantle it without causing trauma, chaos or power concentration (as that brings you back to it)

but the country simply doesn't run entirely on renewables at least not yet. also renewables aren't as reliable if there is no wind or sun at a peak time there will be blackouts. the infrastructure simply isn't there. and yes we should be working towards that but in the meantime time we are still very reliant on fossil fuels. how will people power there cars. If everyone bought an electric car tomorrow the grid simply wouldn't be able to handle it. the reality is if we tried to rely entirely on renewables tomorrow nobody would be able to get to work and there would be regions with black outs.

We need to hold the fossil fuel industry to account and pathetic governments who have been lying to us for decades. We're all going to face the consequences of climate crisis, many already are. Whether we like it or not we are going to have to deal with this and a few carbon tax laws on the people won't make a difference. The greed mongers who've benefitted from this carnage must be held responsible. They know this. That's why they're building bunkers, pushing for deeper control of the world population with digital ID and surveillance, creating forever wars to keep us in fear and distracted.

Absolute rubbish; Global climate change is a human condition created to make us feel insecure and vulnerable…. The WHO are responsible for the warming of the planet 👌
