A "two-tier justice system" is a concept describing how the legal system applies the law differently based on a person's socioeconomic status, political affiliation, or demographic background. This is a topic heavily discussed in America where we have a two-tier legal system however it can be something perpetrated by just one aspect of the justice system. I can’t speak for how accurate that is to this case as I’m not knowledgeable enough on the legal system in the UK but in case anyone was curious what that meant I thought I’d drop this definition off here.
