the fact people always pin rudeus as entirely evil in his old world annoys me. that scene litteraly shows he was a decent dude, telling people not to cut in line. I think if he was a conventionally handsome dude in his old world and was a bit more stoic, he wouldn't get the same level of hate. he partially gets hate because he's a realistic character.

The story isn’t asking you to approve of Rudeus’ actions, It’s about a deeply flawed and disgusting person getting a second chance at life and becoming a better human being. The question is whether someone with serious moral flaws can change, grow, and redeem themselves over time thats why i love it sm, trust me i think hes a disgusting person but that doesnt mean the story is bad its meant to be like that
