The stiletto dagger goes back to Renaissance Italy, around the 1400s–1500s, where it was made as a slim, super-pointy blade built for piecing. Its thin shape made it easy to slip into tight spots—both in armor and in the pocket—so it became popular for self-defense, duels, and, honestly, some sneaky stuff like assassinations. The name “stiletto” just means “little dagger” in Italian, which fits its compact design. It eventually inspired the classic Italian switchblade style that we a love today (or at least I do). Recently, Böker Plus began dropping their take this classic silhouette, including an all blackout version. They starting at $79 for the 3 1/2 inch blade and running up to $110 for the 5 inch blade. They feature 14c28n steel and aluminum handles. The pocket clips are deep carry (🙂) but not reversible (☹️).
Wonderful 😍 #scarlettjohansson
Meet the USA-made Fisher Blades Harvey PK. Built as a pocket-carry fixed EDC, the sheath drops right into your pocket and catches on the seam when you draw (simple, secure, and smoooooth). It comes with some extra goodies too—beefsteak, a bandaid, and even a copy of the Constitution because Merica. 🇺🇸 You also get a user manual that walks you through different grip styles: Saber grip, tip grip, tip grip variant… and the pencil grip (yeah… that one makes me a little nervous). The manual is loaded with other information regarding the style and inspiration behind the knife, and even ways to use it. This is a full four-finger handle paired with a compact 2.6” blade—that extra handle length allows you to have more control on your cuts. At just 0.5” thick, this thing is slicey! Weight comes in at 2.9 oz (knife only) and 3.8 oz with the sheath. A modern EDC with roots in classic bushcraft design. There are many things this will help you do: • Sharpening pencils • Opening boxes • Wood whittling • Revenge… not recommended Made in USA FisherBlades.com $249 Steel: AEB-L Blade Shape/edge grind: drop point/21º edge bevel Behind-Edge-Thickness: 0.021” Blade finish: Nekked* Blade thickness: 0.125” Overall thickness: 0.50” Scales: 0.125” (0.140” actual) G-10, + G-10 liners Scale fasteners: T-15 Blade length: 2.6” Overall length: 6.75” Country of Origin: USA Lagniappe: it's a surprise!
