@misterjegherchannel: Setelah FAA menerbitkan Airworthiness Directive untuk Boeing 787, dilakukan modifikasi pada mekanisme downlock nose landing gear agar pin pengaman tidak lagi bisa dipasang pada lubang yang salah. Secara visual, modifikasi tersebut biasanya terlihat sebagai: Lubang yang benar (downlock pin hole) diberi tanda yang sangat jelas, sering kali dengan cat berwarna terang atau marking khusus agar mudah dikenali teknisi. Lubang yang salah (apex pin inner bore) dipasangi insert/plug sehingga pin tidak bisa lagi dimasukkan ke sana. FAA mewajibkan pemasangan insert tersebut setelah beberapa kejadian di mana nose landing gear 787 dapat terlipat saat maintenance karena pin pengaman dipasang ke lubang yang berdekatan tetapi bukan posisi yang semestinya. #aviation #aviationnews #aviationgeek #aviationdaily #aviationviral

The topic of the bolt hole has been known to Boeing and the FAA since 2018. Since then, Boeing has been pre-equipting with the plugs. But the 787 of the LH is brand new from 2025. If Boeing actually left the plug, then they should fire a few engineers at Boeing (andthe FAA?) again!

Eigentlich müsste noch ein Sicherheitsschalter dran sein das wenn der Dorn nicht eingesetzt ist oder nicht richtig das sich dann nichts entriegeln lässt… doppelte Sicherheit finde ich wichtig bei sowas

Einfach den Einsteckdorn größer machen und Bohrungen anpassen, dann passt der Bolzen nur noch an der richtigen Stelle. Die farbige Markierung hilft da nicht weiter. Fehler könnte trotzdem passieren.
