A comfort growing up! While I wish I could send my Abuelita’s homemade chocolate to all of you, I added a recipe below so you can still enjoy this at home 👇 Is this how you enjoyed hot chocolate growing up too? 👀 Hot chocolate Salvadoreño ☕️ 2 bars of tablilla de chocolate (you can add more or less depending on preferred sweetness!) 2 cups water (or milk for a creamier consistency) 1 cinnamon stick (optional for extra flavour) Pan/bread to dip! 🥖 🍞 In a saucepan, bring the water (or milk) to simmer over medium heat, add the chocolate to the saucepan. Stir constantly with a whisk until the chocolate is completely melted, Reduce heat to low and continue simmering for 3 to 5 minutes. For a traditional foamy texture, whisk vigorously or use an immersion blender. Buen provecho! 🫶 - #hotchocolate #elsalvador #recipesoftiktok
