Movie name, plot and spoilers - The Electric State follows Michelle (Millie Bobby Brown), a teenager crossing a dystopian 1990s America after discovering her supposedly dead brother, Christopher, is still alive. Years earlier, the tech corporation Sentre abducted him and connected his brilliant mind to its Neurocaster network, using his brain to power a vast mind-control system that keeps much of humanity trapped in virtual reality. With the help of drifter Keats (Chris Pratt) and a group of robots, Michelle sets out to rescue him. She eventually learns that Christopher’s consciousness is inseparably linked to the network. To stop Sentre and free humanity, Christopher asks Michelle to end his life support. She reluctantly does so, destroying the system worldwide. Afterward, Michelle urges people to reconnect with reality instead of living through technology. A post-credits scene hints that Christopher may have survived, as the discarded Cosmo robot appears to come back to life.
