Have you come across @Rev. Gerlyn’s page? Her congregation(?) is in Scarborough, I think. I find her brand of spirituality intriguing, even though I’m not religious at all. I really appreciate her voice and enjoy her messaging, independent of any religious association. She must be a breath of fresh air to religious folks who don’t subscribe to all or nothing.

There are a lot of pharisees in Christianity nowadays unfortunately, so they tend to make people feel like they have to be perfect before they can call themselves a Christian, when the core message of Christianity is that we don’t have to be perfect because God sees all our imperfections and still chose to sacrifice his life on the cross so that the sins of the whole world can be forgiven, all we have to do to be Christian is believe that He did that, anything else is our own personal choice, as a WLW Christian this is what I believe wholeheartedly

I went through full circle in religion and then scrapped everything said by humans. Church pastors prophets religion all i found to be without base. And then I chose to believe that to love all is good. Jesus represent that and so is good as well. Everything else is unnecessary. ❤️❤️❤️.

It is such a complex question. I became a Christian and was baptized when I was 17. I left a particular church because it was anti LGBTQ and I wanted my children to grow up knowing they were loved and accepted no matter who they loved.

I feel fundamentally betrayed by the lies and unfair preferential treatment the religious figures demand and the Hardship That religion inflicts on everybody. And the stories and tropes that every religion pilfered from every other and claimed it was their original idea.It's just maddening.
