Horsetail weed is native to most of the northern hemisphere. Natives cannot be invasive. Maybe you shouldn't plant it by your driveway, if you're concerned.

I bought a packet of wildflower seeds from Walmart and planted them this year. Half of the flowers in there are weeds and clover

I plant native. but a solid 95% of the time I'm annoyed about it cuz there's ALWAYS an invasive species that's exactly what I want and I cant have it so I have to go with a similar native that grows to a different size or doesn't work well with the amount of sun in the area I was planning on planting or something like that. the "is Pepsi ok?" of gardening.

A lot of people need to educate themselves on what invasive plants are. They aren’t just weeds. They are plants that came from other countries that choke out native plants which messes with the ecosystem and wildlife.

A lot of folks are confused in the comments about what is invasive and what is native but aggressive. I agree with you, OP, everyone should get in the habit of doing a quick search to find the native range of what they want to plant and make sure it’s not invasive. Some examples of invasives in the southeast that I see planted: kudzu, bamboo, non-native honeysuckles, rose of Sharon (this one surprised me), English Ivey, wisteria (there are native species but people mostly plant invasive kinds), monkey grass, vinca, ditch lilies, tree of heaven.

okay, the bamboo slander has got to stop. it only gets bad when people plant it ignorantly. if you have enough space in your yard and read up on its growth habit, you can literally keep it in one spot by mowing around it. obviously runners are gonna be worse, so dont plant runners in a tiny suberban yard, but yeah bamboo is freaking awesome and has soooo many uses when managed correctly
