“Do not think of those who are killed in the cause of الله as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what الله has bestowed upon them of His bounty.” (Qur’an 3:169–170) “And do not say about those who are killed in the way of الله, ‘They are dead.’ Rather, they are alive, but you perceive it not.” (Qur’an 2:154) “They rejoice in a blessing from الله and bounty, and that الله does not allow the reward of the believers to be lost.” (Qur’an 3:171) “Among the believers are men who have been true to what they pledged to الله. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some are still waiting; and they have not changed in the least.” (Qur’an 33:23) “The Messenger of الله ﷺ said: ‘The souls of the martyrs are in the bodies of green birds, which have lamps suspended from the Throne.
