Maybe you should move somewhere lower income because my man and I are dinks and make less then that and we are thriving. We are on track to retire by 50s. I know that’s old but consider people still working into their 70s these days

For me in pa that would around $16k a month after taxes. If $1000 would ruin you, especially without kids, you are living way above your level.
