I think fruit flies and drain flies are two different things. Fruit flies need a vinegar bait and are easy to get rid of. The drain flies need an enzyme down the drain to get rid of them and it can take a while.

This was still only a temporary situation for me until I bought a sundew plant for my kitchen! No more fruit flies at all! I learned their eggs are also on the fruits and veggies you bring home from the market.

@Chef Fatty An alternative fruit fly trap I’ve been using is just a cut in half water bottle with the top half upside down placed in the bottom half and the liquid I use is cutwater. Ngl it worked so well I even caught flies in it

Theres are awesome hacks. I used a fruit fly drain killer and a sit on the counter top trap. were gone in 2 days.
