As a former lifeguard I promise you this is to make sure people actually have the skills to survive without a life jacket. It’s for your safety and to make sure you are able to be safe

As someone who used to competitively swim and had to take these tests… GOOD. If you can’t do that you shouldn’t be without a life jacket.

We were just there today! The lifeguards are on top of keeping everyone safe! It was super clean, water was warm, and the food was yummy!

the way i probably wouldn't be able to tread long enough 😭 i'm not even heavy but im really short so im dense and i have always struggled to float- along with the fact it's been like 8 years since i took swim lessons or swam regularly so i don't have stamina
