@nofret_egypt_: The Egyptian collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris is one of the richest in the world, spanning more than 4,000 years of history. Among its highlights are the beautifully decorated royal coffins of the 17th Dynasty, reliefs of Ramesses II, and the famous Dendera Zodiac. Visitors can also admire a naos from Philae, powerful statues of the lion-headed goddess Sekhmet, and baboon sculptures that once formed part of the base of an obelisk. Other treasures include elegant cosmetic spoons, a finely carved sphinx of Amenemhat, and moving depictions of the mourning goddess Isis.
