Whole life insurance is significantly more expensive than term, most of the money goes towards fees, commissions, etc, and is a low yield investment. It’s highly criticized for a reason. You’re wildly better off getting term for what the actual purpose is, an unforeseen circumstance, and investing the difference on your own.
