it was also interesting how everyone around them seemed more worried about protecting Bear than they were about Nikki. Everyone was worried that it was Nikki taking advantage of Bear, not the other way around. Even when Ian brings up the possibility, he’s quick to assure Bear that he’s still on his side, just that it “looks” bad

I feel like both Ian & Sarah are somewhat pseudo villains. Everyone besides Nikki is extremely selfish and they establish it rather quickly with her giving the person outside the bar money. Which makes it feel like selfishness is one of the major themes, or rather selfishness is the cause of Nikki losing her autonomy

not to mention when bear gives him the one wish willow. instead of making the wish to free Nikki, he instead selfishly wishes for a billion dollars. even though he didnt believe the one wish willow worked, if he knew it was real he would have made the same wish. he doesnt care about Nikki. he only cares about himself.

Thank you! Same with Sarah, Niki never had any real friends, Ian never actually cared about her, bear didn’t care about her, and Sarah never cared either not once did she reach out to niki to try and help her like a friend would, she went and tried to “steal” bear from her instead. The willow reveiled that Niki didn’t have one person in her friend group that actually cared about her or her well being they all wanted something from her

I actually think the only person in the movie that’s innocent is Nikki because like even Sarah, she always gives bear the benefit of the doubt no matter what she’s always concerned that Nikki is taking advantage of him, but never that he’s taking advantage of Nikki.
