to be fair in some parts of Germany Karneval/Fasching is celebrated in early February which replaces Halloween. around the area of Cologne it's honestly it's own season it starts 11/11 and stops on Ash Wednesday people get dressed up, go to parties, and Karneval specifically events

here in Germany starting the age of 16, beer is allowed, age 18, hard liquor. A car driver's license can cost up 3000 and counts a lifetime.

No, German songs will also have censored versions. There's Sidos - Mein Block for example that has a lot of crass language that has a censored version with sound effects. We don't tend to censor English songs because well, it's not assumed everybody (especially kids) will understand the words. We're less fussy about basic curses though and have a different relationship with nudity (meaning nudity is not considered worse than violence)

it's very funny when you sing to those songs as a kid, not knowing any word in English, and then you grow up, you hear the songs again, but now you understand,and we're all just like "oh shit I was yelling that stuff in public as a kid" 🤣🤣
