struggling with that right now. but in my state they automatically decline disability benefits if you're working. I will be homeless if I dont work and I lose jobs due to missing for health issues and dr appointments.

My girlfriend asked to be allowed to have a stool or chair but was told that they couldn’t meet her accommodation so she had to leave and now can’t get any job

When ppl think of unemployment, they think it's laziness. Nope, i legit can't work, I'd love to go out and earn money, but i just can't. It's not due to laziness at all, I'm in chronic pain 24/7 everywhere, I'm constantly tired, and need to be around the bathroom all the time, so no. Unemployment doesn't always equal laziness.

I wish I could send this to my aunt. I love the woman to death, but it’s exhausting having her ask if I found another job yet every time I see her. Keep in mind, when I *had* a job I had to deal with her asking, “so how many hours are you working?” Only for her to scowl in disapproval when I said 4-6hrs

I went from six figure salaries, to being unable to drive or bathe, within days. I haven’t left the house in three years, other than for doctor appointments and visitation exchanges with my children.

I get what you are saying 1000%. But let’s also normalize not feeling guilty when we prioritize ourselves and our own health rather than the thoughts and opinions of others who are not living the same experience. Only you know your limits, enforce them.

I've been pressured by my husband because I need to "contribute". I do the household. I do all of it. even the inside/ outside upkeep. Now I've been trying to run my home bakery to "contribute". I just lost my full time job I was doing. I have been battling an obstruction since then. So I get too much pressure working. but you much pressure NOT working. I have uncontrolled crohns disease, chiari malformation, hEDS and other comorbid conditions. I'm trying.

It's so hard out here. I've been unemployed for 3 1/2 months which sucks because I need the money and the health insurance but I was fired from my last job due to a bad flare-up. There's nobody hiring and the jobs I have experience in are ones that don't have the accommodations I need to be able to work....

Yep feel this💛. Feel like a burden that I’m disabled. But ik for a fact if I worked again the stress would skyrocket those flare ups. Atleast now I can rest & work on my health!

Yes went from fulltime to partime working two days a week I feel so much better. The money was good but my health more important.
