If you are in hamilton, NJ (Mercer county) the next town council meeting is Tuesday 6/16 6:30pm at the municipal building 3rd floor. It will be kind of long because it’s also the board of health meeting meaning the shelter will be giving a presentation. But this is our best chance to advocate for Merlin and the other animals at this shelter!

There was a similar-ish situation in like Indiana or something with a dog that they wouldn’t adopt out who had been there for like 10+ years. A video went viral on tiktok during covid and a rescue got involved. Everyone made enough noise that the shelter gave him to the rescue. I’m down to make noise on this!

Actually, a quick way to get them due to federal animal.Welfare laws that cage is not big enough.Report them.It is a stupidly large fine.If they are convicted of it.And if that's a state run facility, they're going to be up the creek without a paddle

Usually towns cities can transfer dogs to other shelters if they’ve been with them over a certain amount of days, can another shelter step in and take him maybe you could reach out to other shelters in your area?

Can he be pulled from a rescue ?? Reach out to rescues, have the rescuer tag them then you can get him through the rescue organization…
