Not giving shows time to grow is so frustrating, especially when it’s the fault of network/streaming executives. Like sorry the population of planet earth didn’t watch the first season twice over in the month after it came out but you could at least give it a second season to build up more hype

i think people often forget how long one piece has been going vs how relatively recent it's US fan base is. I've been reading one piece since 2003 but most people i know only started getting into it in the last few years

the iceberg thing is why I started avoiding trailers and interviews and stuff years ago because so many of them, if you watch all the trailers for a movie, basically give away the entire plot of the film

when i recommend various medias to other people, i usually try my best to make them Curious without telling them too much about the plot itself. which can either be by telling them that certain things happen with no context, or how i feel like it explored certain themes well or did certain characters justice. i try my best to make people curious to understand the context while still being able to discover the joy of it on their own.

no for real. and the thing is I can handle really big spoilers personally. like if a character dies, depending on who and what show, it doesn't necessarily throw me off cause then I get invested in the why and how it happened. like I've gotten re-invested because a character I cared about died and I was like "how?!"
